Compression Molding

Vaupell is capable of producing a wide variety of compression molded parts with 18 presses ranging from 30 up to 750 tons. We have experience with a broad range of fiber/resin materials, including polyester, epoxy and phenolic resins on various reinforcement materials (e.g. glass, carbon and aramid fibers) in various forms (e.g. pre-preg, bulk molding and sheet molding compounds). This, combined with the working knowledge of raw materials and tooling design allows us to support a wide range of compression molding applications. The range of secondary operations offered by Vaupell convert compression molded components into finished products. Vaupell is approved for compression molding processes by many top aerospace prime contractors.
